Wintry Blast

Eight days ago winter arrived a tad bit early here in the Mid-Columbia. There sits my poor patio furniture in the snow.

We left home for Thanksgiving in Boise with our family, hoping that it would be gone when we came home on Sunday. Instead things have gone from bad to worse as today we have freezing rain on top of all that snow. Looks like the predictions for a hard winter are right on the money!

It's amazing to me that we're saying goodbye to November already and the Christmas rush is here! I started stitching my ornament for the exchange we traditionally have with my smocking guild ladies, pics to follow soon. Then in addition to all the holiday chores, I'd really like to get my bedroom cleaned up, painted, and all our stuff moved back in before the relatives arrive for Christmas! I think Kirsten will help out since as soon as my bedroom is put back together, we can finish stripping wallpaper and painting her bedroom. :D

Better get a move on!

Brr! At least we've only had a sprinkling of snow here, but it's so icy and cold!

All that snow is beautiful but ice on top isn't so great. It's really getting cold here too!

That's an awful lot of snow to start off the season with! Ice on top isn't so great either.
I also can't believe the Christmas season is upon us so fast. I feel like things are on fast forward!
