November Roses

This fall has been quite mild here in Eastern Washington. The last couple of days the sun has shone gloriously through the trees, although at a much lower angle, not quite getting into my back yard.

These things are starting to fall . . .

from here . . .

so outside chores continue, rather pleasurable chores on days such as these. And some of my rose bushes continue to produce blooms!

The leaves on the roses are turning yellow, like the maple trees, so soon there will be no more fresh roses on my desk. I'm going to miss that sweet scent!

No more roses around here, the nights have been too cold lately. Enjoy your roses as long as they last.

All our flowers are gone - even our fall ones. We've been hit with a few hard frosts and snow is predicted for tomorrow - not a lot. But go figure, next week it's going to be 70 again.

It's amazing your roses are still hanging in there. Ours are long gone. And I raked up the last of the fallen leaves from our tree yesterday. Lookin' pretty bleak out there now!

How lovely! It's finally a little chilly here in Florida with temps of 50 degrees.

How nice that your roses are still hanging in there. Ours are long gone. I pulled out the last of the withering flowers in the garden and raked up the last of the fallen leaves this week. Ready for winter!

Gorgeous roses. Hope you can enjoy them for a while yet.

It is so amazing to me that roses do so well in so many climates. I would never have thought they would grow in the desert but they are great garden plants here too.
