Stitching Treasures

Shopping time in Victoria was quite limited for me this year, but a couple of fellow stitchers made sure that we all left the retreat with some special treats. Marty (from Iowa) made up a huge batch of these wonderful stitching bags.

These little wonders have three pockets, two with flaps on each side of the bag, then an open middle with a tab of velcro to close. So clever!

Our Australian friends stitched up these wonderful little pin pillows featuring the various state flowers of Australia

On Saturday I received a box from Connie who sent me one of those glass flower frogs that so many have been using to display their embroidery scissors. I had admired hers during my visit and she offered to visit the antique shop where she found hers to get one for me.

Thanks so much, Connie!!

What lovely gifts you received at the retreat. The project bag is wonderful.
Aren't those scissor frogs great. They are very hard to find. I think every stitcher out there is looking for one. I haven't had much luck yet but I'm still searching. Half the fun is the hunt LOL.

What wonderful stitchy gifts! And that frog is a really unique way to display your scissors. This is the first time I've seen one of these.
