The tulips I planted at the front of the house last fall are looking so good! If only my strength hadn't given out there would be even more. More fill-in will be done in the future. The daylilies I transplanted are taking off as well, so there should be more color this summer!
Carol inquired about my irises a couple of days ago. Here's a pic for you, Carol! You can see that they're doing great after a thorough reduction and a spreading of the wealth throughout the garden. More pics of those to come! Several years ago Carol shared a few of her iris rhizomes with me and they seemed to adjust quite well to Kennewick from New Hampshire!
A Legacy of Love is slowly coming along. It's such a darling design, but those flowers and the color changes involved in stitching them, well, they're a bit of a pain. But I think I've got my approach to getting them done all worked out, so I'm just going to get on with it. :)
When I've accomplished more on ALOL, I'll treat myself by getting my Victoria Sampler retreat project started! The kit arrived in the mail the other day, and isn't the project a beauty?!
April 23 and the retreat will be here quickly, and I'd like to have the project on the bars, gridded, and some of the x-s done before leaving. Sooooo, I should wish you all a lovely week and be off to goad my kids into doing their chores and do some of my own as well!!

Well I am happy for the rain we needed, but I am sorry it hit on spring break! Your tulips look amazing!
I have snatched up a few more roses over here on the west side. I am looking forward to a good week of gardening next week. We will see how the weather cooperates then!
Our weather's also turned off cold, wet, and windy. Oh well, spring will eventually come to stay. (I hope!)

Your WIP is so pretty! Very delicate looking and I love that VS project! That looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. And I loved seeing all your flowers. We still don't have any really up around here, but maybe soon. Our weather is suppose to get up to 80 - unheard of around here, but it should get those flowers going.
We had some terrible thunderstorms but hopefully no more rain and wind for awhile. Your tulips are beautiful.

I was out about 1 day cleaning up outside and we are back to the rain and cold. The weather is getting warmer in a few days. Doesn't help our allergies or health-we've been miserable in February and March. Trying to get better for a trip to Washington, DC in a few weeks.
