Time is running short these busy days before Christmas! Most of my shopping is done, the tree finally got decorated and I even dug out some of my houses, although the accompanying goodies haven't been found. The oven has been doing a big business keeping the cinnamon bread going and I even got most of my cards mailed off.
Yet to do - menu planning and grocery shopping. Think I'll just pull out last year's menu and go with that.
Over the weekend DH installed the remaining section of rail lighting in my kitchen. For the 22 years I've lived here we had this one ugly fixture which didn't get switched out even when we remodeled six years ago! Now the room is flooded with light. The downside to that - I can see how dirty the cabinet over the microwave really is, lol.
I mentioned in my last post that my Christmas gift arrived last week - a new stitching chair!
My old chair looked nice, but just didn't fit me well and caused some pain when I sat in it too long - like whenever I stitched. One day I was out and decided to stop in to a furniture store and sit in some chairs. While I didn't find the perfect one that day, I now had a mission and eventually found this one on sale at Macy's. While I'm not sure how it's going to work out for stitching, I do know that it's great for napping as I've been nodding off while relaxing the last few evenings.
Next week when the Boise families are back at home and all the Christmas activities are over, the chair and I are going to get really well acquainted. That thought is keeping me sane this week!
Well, the gifts yet to be wrapped are calling my name!
I wish for you, my friend, a very Merry Christmas full of good cheer.
