Preoccupied

My friends I feel I must apologize for ignoring you this week. I'm sure you're all doing some fun things at the end of the school year, going on vacations, and starting all kinds of wonderful new stitching projects. And what am I doing?

Playing with my new cell phone. :D

Yes, the iphone has come into my life and I'm trying to get my contacts and calendar all switched over. And then there are those apps - thousands of choices! I haven't downloaded too many yet, but I am trying out Twitterfon, the Facebook app, a flashlight app, Pandora Internet radio, the Bible, solitaire, Google Earth, and Bejeweled 2. Oh my, Bejeweled, I'll never catch up with the laundry now!

Also happening in this very auspicious week, the last day of public school - today! Very happy boys in the house. Lunchtime was quite celebratory as we also had our kids and grandkids over to have a quick visit with my niece and nephew, Ben and Ali, who were coming through town from the Seattle area, on their way to Boise. Ben is about to start his residency in medicine at UW very soon, and Ali will be off to Mali with the Peace Corps! What grand adventures they will have!

Dress rehearsals have started for the homeschool performances of Shakespeare's A Comedy of Errors, which all five of my homebound kids have a part in, particularly the twins - of course! The last couple of evenings I've enjoyed a quiet house with no kids and a husband who doesn't come home until late. Kinda nice. The play will be performed on Friday and Saturday. My sister and her family always come up for the plays, so we're looking forward to a really fun weekend. I think a family bbq is in order for Saturday lunch! :D

Well, enough of my rambling for now. Be well everyone!!

Wow, what a coincidence! My son just got a graduation card from an old high school friend of mine which also contained a gift certificate for $300 towards an iPhone!! Needless to say, Peter is excited!! We do need to switch to AT&T, but my husband was thinking of doing this anyway...our Verizon is up in July/August...hmmmm, wonder if I should get an iPhone too??

Sounds like a great week and lots of fun things going on! Do you homeschool your children? I am in awe of people who do. Wish I had it in me to do it! Enjoy your phone - my husband loves his!

I am so jealous of your phone it just isn't true. The only network you can get it on here is one called O2 and I am with T-Mobile for at least another year and anyway O2 has is for another 3 1\2 years. But have fun with it because I sure would. Lots of Love Patti the oh so jealous bird (that's a girl here in the u.K. which is a misnomer on it's own as I am defintely not a bird)!

Lucky! I want one :) I have Verizon, but I am considering AT&T since they have this phone. It’s so handy. We have the IPod Touch, and it’s fabulous. We aren’t done with school until next week, and we are happy to be this close to the end. I am glad you are having such a good time!!!

Oh Von,
I want one too!
Taryn has one and she LOVES it. Says she can't get along without it! I don't dare ask what she pays per month. Oy!
Hopefully you get a better deal in your neck of the woods.
Have fun with those apps!
Kathryn : )

Wow, you've got a ton of stuff going on. Yeah, it's always nice when you can get the house to yourself for a little while. :) Enjoy your play and your new iphone!

You will love your phone. Twitter is more fun with an Iphone, you can snap a pic with your tweet. There are a lot of fun apps out there, but the ones that come with the phone are all very use full. I love the Notes app. No more sticky notes!

I use the Ipod on the phone in the car over my speaker system and when a call comes in, or I call it comes over the speaker system in my car. Hands free. I just figured this one out by accident :)
