Gone Camping

The weather is glorious and we're packing up the trailer and heading out of town for the Memorial Day weekend! Our destination is Harris Park Campground 14 miles east of Milton Freewater, Oregon, which is about 60 miles from our home in Kennewick.

We have a spot right on the S. Fork of the Walla Walla River. This time of year it should be wonderfully green and fairly peaceful. Of course, there will be geocaching and probably a good share of hiking. Just the three youngest are going along as 18yo Brendan would rather stay home. Establishing independence and all that. :D

I doubt that I'll be online while we're gone, so I'll wish everyone a very happy Memorial Day weekend, and for those outside the U.S. - enjoy the weekend! Maybe we'll get a few stitches in on our favorite project!

We stayed at the Loon Lake Lodge & RV Resort, an Oregon coast rv park that offers Oregon camping, boating, and fishing in the Oregon coast area and makes an excellent Oregon campground The lodge also offers Oregon cabin rentals as well as Oregon yurt rentals. The Lodge and RV Resort is located just minutes from Reedsport, and offers year-round resort Oregon coast lodging in their cabins, Oregon yurts, and motel, or waterfront Oregon camping at a scenic tent or RV park sites with full-hookups, satellite TV and free Wi-fi, all on one mile of lake frontage on the scenic Loon Lake. The marina offers jet ski rentals, Oregon boat rentals, and pontoon boats.
