Eighteen

My fourth child becomes an adult today! In the pic above you can see Geoff (left) and Kevin (middle) rockin' the Happy Birthday song to Brendan (right).

Unfortunately, the day was marred by a virus of some sort that struck Brendan yesterday, making him ache and run a fever. This morning the fever was gone and by this afternoon he's feeling better. So we had Asian beef and asparagus for lunch, then cake and ice cream - yum!

All in all it's a pretty fun day, and we'll have more fun on Tuesday when all the family comes for the big spring birthday celebration.

Yesterday Kirsten had her first softball game, the remainder of the day was spent making preparation for the Tuesday gathering - browning ground beef for enchiladas and squeezing key limes for key lime pie. In the evening we had dinner with church friends. So all in all it was a great Saturday - just no stitching, so not quite perfect. :)

My garden is starting to come alive. There's still so much clean up, weed pulling, and mulching yet to do, but what fun seeing the new growth.

Hope your weekend was fun and relaxing. :)

Happy B-Day to Brendan. My Matt turns 18 on Saturday. Isn't that garden spring cleaning a bummer?

Have a great week!

Happy Birthday to Brendan. It's amazing how quickly they grow. Sounds like you're getting ready for Cinco de Mayo! One of my kids favorite times of the year. Mine too if there is a margarita!

Happy Birthday to Brendan. I hope you had a great day. I read your Costco love affair too and ours is right around the corner from where we live and we treat it like our local store and only go and buy exactly what you want and never look for anything else. The only thing is they have stopped selling Hershey Kisses which is such a bummer! Have a great week. Love Patti xxx
