Ouch!

In the further adventures of the Paulson family, yesterday afternoon Kirsten and DH attended an AHG (American Heritage Girls) function at a local ice skating arena. Poor Kirsten took a corner too fast and fell, hitting her head. One of the other dads loaned her a hat so that if she fell again, her head would be better protected. She bounces back pretty well. :)
What didn't bounce back as well was DH's poor car. On their way out of the arena, someone pulled out in front of DH and the impact was unavoidable. {insert whimper here} No one was injured, but Kirsten is complaining of a bit of neck pain today. I think with a little TLC, she'll be fine real soon. DH is just sore from the skating, and from the fact that his car will be in the shop for awhile.

Over the weekend I managed to finish off my latest kumihimo braid. Using one skein of floss for each color, I made 42 inches of braid. Now to use finish off Strawberries and Cream.

Tonight DH and I travel to Yakima with our business partners. One of our employees in Yakima is being deployed to Iraq, so we're having a good-bye dinner for her to wish her good luck. Guess there will be no stitching tonight; buy hey - I don't have to cook!

What rotten luck for you and yours, Von! Hopw everyone and everything heals quickly!

I LOVE that braid and the whole concept of kumihimo. A couple of days ago I watched a video on Youtube on how it works and I'm smitten. Love it!
