More Wandering

Where did this week go?! Well, wherever it went it's gone and I don't have a whole lot to show for it. It's certainly not from a lack of things I need/should/want to do, but creativity took a back seat to more immediate needs of the family - like grocery shopping, shopping for new clothes, and a myriad of other errands. Oh yeah, and this . . .

DH and Kirsten went to the Father-Daughter Ball last night. It's nice when Dad gets to take his best little girl out, though she's not that little any more.

I did find a couple of interesting places online this week.

Bridget at Bake at 350 bakes the most beautiful cookies and for Valentine's Day made homemade Hostess cupcakes.

We Are THAT Family is now hosting Works for Me Wednesday. A great blog made even more useful.

LifeinGrace is another Mom blog I'm enjoying. Edie homeschools, decorates her home with panache (something I'm envious of), and writes so well about her life.

Then I found this link through my twitter feeds: An Inspiration File. Just what I needed, another online application for me to sink my time into. But after reading this entry I decided to give Tumblr a looksee and I'm really enjoying using it to capture those cool, inspirational ideas that I come across as I travel through the internets. Try it for yourself!

Saturday is now drawing to a close after spending the afternoon with four 11 year old girls trying to plan and organize an arts and crafts event for AHG (American Heritage Girls). What a hoot! Each girl was bursting with ideas of things to do. This event could have been an all-day ordeal, but I think we have it down to a full 2-1/2 hours. :D

Now the house is quiet again and I think it's time to pick up A Quaker Study once again.

How fun that daughter-father dance sounds! They don't do it here in the regular high school, but noticed on the marquee at Oaks Christian that a daughter-father dance was slotted there...I think it's a very nice idea! They should do it at all high schools!

Von, I updated some info on the frother at the end of my post for you. I don't think you are going to find this one locally.

Sounds like life has been a bit full for you lately =]
Between dances, balls, wreaks, leaky dishwashers and grand sitting...OH MY!

I might have to have a twitter lesson, I have not been able to get the hang of that thing yet.

Hi Von,

Time flies when you're having
fun, and it also flies when
you're busy with real life.
But it's great to catch up with
you and your family at any time.

I love how your DH and DD Kristen
attended that AHG ice skating
party together and the Father
Daughter ball as well and had
such a good time. Too bad about
the fender bender in the parking
lot of the skating rink. Hope
Kristen's neck is feeling better
now.

DS Kevin looked quite handsome
all decked out in his suit for
the Winter Formal, and his date
looked lovely. I think they made
a cute couple, but don't tell
him I said that eh?

Although I love my computer and
spend far too much time on it,
I'm not really a techie geek
myself. So I've been hearing
about this Twitter thing, but
don't know a lot about it.

But I did enjoy visiting some
of the blogs that you recommended
and will be exploring some more
of them in future, as time allows.

And since I've already mentioned
how time flies at the start of
this comment I guess it's time to
sign off for now. In a timely
fashion, ya know?

Cheers!
