DH and I set out mid-morning Saturday for Ocean Shores, WA, about a six-hour drive from Kennewick. As the weather seeemed favorable, we decided to drive Highway 12 over White Pass which skims by Mt. Rainier Ntl. Park. Of course, DH had a few geocaches to find as we drove, the first I approved of was next to an espresso drive-up. :-)
A few miles later we stopped at an elk feeding station.
In Aberdeen this geocache is in front of the Taco Bell.
The evidence of many landslides, mud slides, rock slides still remains following the recent snowfall/rain/snowmelt that hit our state, with repair and construction to continue for many months. If you're looking for job security, the state highway department and private road construction companies would definitely provide!
We arrived in Ocean Shores just before sunset and I was able to snap this photo from the tiny patio off our room. This is one business jaunt that I truly enjoy!

How beautiful it is there! Hope you enjoy your trip, even though it includes business, too!
Oh what wonderful pictures! I've been to Mt Ranier many times, though not for the past 15 years .... Must get over that way again!!!
Good to hear you enjoy the trip! Great pictures shared.
Looks like a great trip. Love those elk. Somewhere I have a photo taken in Colorado of a herd of elk on a golf course right beside the "Stay off the Grass" sign. Gorgeous sunset.
