Drippy Day

We're getting quite a bit of rain today. Oh, not a rain like most of you experience, but still it's been falling from the sky for six hours now. The smell is lovely.

Daddy has made himself a little kayak convert! Kirsten accompanied Gary to Paddlefest in Richland's Howard Amon Park after Jaeger and Mystie's party on Saturday, trying out several kayaks all on her own.

We have a small inflatable kayak, but I have a feeling that sometime soon there will be a true kayak or two fastened to the top of the Expedition to add to our camping fun!

Thank you so much, my friends, for all your well wishes and congratulations on our 29th anniversary! Gary brought me some flowers in the afternoon and we had a very special dinner at P.F. Chang's Friday evening. Your greetings are an added bonus to our celebration!

And I've been stitching away yesterday and today on Margaret's wonderful NRR. It's getting to be a bit of a habit, missing the mailing date, but it won't be long now before it's in the hands of the USPS. :)

Love the kyacks! My DS had his first go a few weeks ago and loved it. He desperately wants to learn, but as he's not 8 yet, he's got to wait for a few more months.
