Retreat from the Tri-Cities . . .

to the Bozarth Mansion in Spokane, Washington. Once again, the Women of Grace (URC) had a wonderful retreat. My friend, Andrea, has written a great blog entry complete with gorgeous pics, so I'll refer you here for a quick look. It was marred for me by an awful headache that just would not be shaken on Saturday. I was able to function, but by the end of the day I gave up and took a prescription ibuprofen from a friend and went to bed. Sunday I felt better. :)

I was able to visit The Haberdashery for a bit of stash shopping. Mostly I was looking for inspiration for the Neighborhood Round Robin I'm in. Perhaps I'll be able to get a picture posted this week.

Is anyone else in shock that we're well into November and Christmas is much too close for comfort? I'm trying not to freak out at all that I need to do. The deer in the headlights - that's me!! There's so much to do, I'm paralyzed.

Gotta get back to it all!

I'm glad you had a nice retreat, except for your headache. Bummer. Sometimes when I'm getting use to a new place I also get a headache. Your friend's photos were lovely.
Christmas-oy!! I don't even have a turkey yet. I told Bri that the Christmas ads will start appearing in June sometime in the future!

Lol! I'm always in shock to see how fast time goes by!!! It's been like that since I've had my first child -accelerated with Daphn. I wonder if it accelerates with the number of kids? Lol!!!
Kevin and Kyle are handsome guys, it won't be long until you see girls hanging out there...
I'm sorry that this nasty headache struck on saturday. Though not serious, these things really spoil everything...
Take care!

Freaked out, deer, headlights? Just because we can suddenly count the distance from here to Christmas in weeks now instead of months? Ha haha haha ha ha ha!!!

Oh, sorry, I guess maybe a wee bit of hysteria is involved. ;)

I was angry that they were showing Christmas commercials already until I realized Christmas isn't that far away! I still wish retailers would let us enjoy Thanksgiving in there though.

I am glad I am not the only one on “panic mode” right now. I have so many things to do, and don’t even know where to start… so what do I do about it? Absolutely nothing! Now that is what I call productive.

Sorry you got a bad headache on your trip :( Those are the worst!

Oh, how I sympathise over the headache, Von! I seem to have one all the time at the mo and I don't know why! Maybe something infectious that I don't have time to rest out, maybe neuralgia or maybe stress?? Bleuch!

Nope, I'm not stressed by the rapid approach of the holiday as it means finishing work and I don't celebrate Xmas etc anyway, so that just reduces the amount of work and expense in life!!=)

Yep- me too. I have done nothing about christmas exept think about baking cookies. Howewver, thinking about them does not cause them to appear in your kitchen any more than thinking about wrapped gifts make them appear under the tree. Oops- what tree?

I know Thanksgiving is just around the corner and that means Christmas will zoom past very soon. I must find more stitching time. So I am setting my alarm earlier for a little more quiet morning stitching. The question is how to get the eyes to stay open. Sorry about your headache, glad you are better.

Yes, I can't believe that Thanksgiving is just two weeks away!

Sorry to hear about your headache; they sure can ruin a good day. Sounds like you still managed to have a good time at the retreat. Off to visit your friends blog now!

Hi Von - Too bad your retreat was marred. Andrea's pics were great - what a neat-looking place. We are too many for that place!
I have been stitching my list since September so I am just need to have a big finishing fest here soon and all will be well! On the other hand, have made no progress on any of my big projects that call to me periodically.
Hugs,
Ginger
