Meet Fritz

Holding still for pictures is not what this puppy is all about. So while I'm endeavoring to get a really nice shot of his sweet face, I can now announce that a name has been decided upon, a good German name for a German dog - introducing - Fritz!

I have to say that Fritz has to be a lucky little pup with so many people doting on his every move, eager to play, walk with him, etc. From the first night I informed DH that I'd done night duty with seven children, and I wasn't getting up with this one! So he's taken that on quite happily (so far). Can someone please explain to me how this man who couldn't wake with a baby screaming in his ear, can wake to the little noises of a lonesome puppy in need of a trip outside? I don't get it!

The first day and a half poor Fritz was missing his mother and brothers as his mood seemed to be subdued. He didn't whine and cry, but he was on the quiet side until yesterday afternoon when he burst into full play mode and seemed genuinely happy to be here.

Tigger, our 10yo orange tabby, tolerates Fritz pretty well, as long as Fritz keeps his distance and doesn't try to play with him. When Tigger lets loose with one of his scary hisses, Fritz is easily convinced to keep his distance! :D We're all making adjustments and having fun too, with an occasional cleanup - training for us all!

Fritz - a perfect name for him Von. He is so lovely and I love that your DH is going to get up to him in the night. May it continue....

Looking forward to seeing many moe pics of Fritz.

Fritz is so cute, perhaps DH is more willing to get up to take Fritz out than having to clean his mess.

Oh my word, Fritz is just adorable. What a cutie!!! I love his face. He is so lucky to have a family like yours, Von. I can see from the pictures that he is already loved very much.

Thanks for the comment yesterday. I became a stay at home mom for my kids and I love being part of their day. I am already missing being part of DS's daily routine but at least I have Marching Band, Orchestra and Jazz Band. That will keep me busy for quite awhile. :)

Fritz is such a perfect name for that little cutie pie! So glad that everyone's enjoying him so much! As for husbands who can't hear babies, but can hear puppies, I'll take it. Housebreaking a puppy - for some reason - seems a lot worse than doing the same thing with a child. LOL!
