The Trailer That Finally Moved

Our poor trailer has been neglectfully parked in the driveway for far, far too long. As much as you say that that you intend to actually use the trailer (when you buy it), life happens, crowding out all those good intentions. So we finally decided to say, "It's time! Let's go!" And off we went Friday evening, off to Crowe Butte about an hour's drive from home. The above pic shows the view from the door of the trailer. A nice spot right on the point of the park - the wind directly hitting us. Perhaps you'll remember my mentioning that the wind really blows around here?! A cold front was passing through this weekend, so a chill wind was blowing all weekend.

The wind and I don't really get along very well, so I spent more time inside the trailer than I'd hoped. But don't feel sorry for me, I had my stitching and a book on cd, and lots of magazines, all of which I enjoyed immensely. DH and the three kids that came along did some geocaching, and hiking. Later Saturday afternoon, I tagged along on some geocaching farther down the road near the teeny village of Roosevelt.

It felt great to be out camping again! On the way home Sunday we stopped by a park in Plymouth, another tiny town right on the Columbia River. Looks like a nice place to spend the weekend, especially early spring or late fall. I wonder where we'll camp next?!

It's always fun to camp :) Some of my best memories of my teenage years are those of my family camping :) And running with the kids from families we went camping with! Your pictures are lovely :)

Lovely photos Von :) I tooo love to camp...we haven't done so in several years now as hubby's job became more demanding-but we used to go 5-6 times a year and I MISS it!

Oh, I wish I'd been there with you INSIDE the trailer! lol!!!
Do your kids enjoy these week ends, or do they spend their time looking forward to the moment when they can play videogames -at last? Well, you can imagine how it gets on my nerves. And yet: I'll confess this to you (don't tell DH!): I do the same, looking forward to finally being able to stitch... Pathetic is the word.
Hugs!

Yay! I'm glad you were able to get out and enjoy, even if it was a bit cold and windy. :)
