Last week was most excellent, especially my mail! Tracy sent me a wonderful Easter package containing pretty, shiny papers for my cardmaking, a length of mauve ribbon, a skein of Blue Lavender Waterlilies (scrumptious color!), chocolate eggs in a cute plastic egg (which Kirsten immediately confiscated, but I got the chocolate!), and a sweet card in which Tracy wrote her own message of Easter blessings. I'm just so touched at her thoughtfulness. Tracy, you are such a dear; your friendship is a real blessing to me!
DHL delivered more excitement a day later - the travel information for our upcoming trip to The Bahamas. This is an award trip from GMAC Insurance that DH's company won. It's hard to believe that next Tuesday we'll be on the airplane! So much to do to get ready!!
GMAC always goes all out in treating their agents like royalty on these trips, so we're really looking forward to a great time. And we're taking a couple of extra days, since it's such a long flight. I'm so ready for some warmth and tropical breezes!! So this week, I have to put the finishing touches on updating my wardrobe and DH's, packing, stocking the freezer for the kids, and making arrangements for their schedules. We're so blessed to have Geoff and Melanie still at home to oversee the younger set, altho even they are old enough now to take care of themselves. Kirsten usually gets to spend some special time with dsis Mystie and the nephews when we're gone for several days.
This weekend I got some housework done as well as some laundry and cardmaking. My Dad's birthday is this week so I needed to making something special for him. :) And while all the stuff is out, I think I'll make up more cards for my stash.
Here's to a great week for all of us!
