Vegas was Fun

but it's good to be home again. We enjoyed the bright lights and a few of the amazing sights the Strip has to offer without participating in the madness that is gambling. As my DH says, it would be much more fun and entertaining to take dollar bills, fold them into paper airplanes and toss them out the hotel window.

While our DHs were in meetings, Marisa and I wandered through the exhibitors' booths filling our bags with the freebies and chatting with a few tremendously bored exhibitors. We got out for a little while for some outlet mall shopping, as we had to buy an extra bag to haul all our convention goodies home, lol!

Now I need to get back into my routine and perhaps even increase my gym time for awhile - yep, we ate waaaayyyy toooooo much! I'll try to catch up with my blog reading and emails tomorrow - after my grandsons' visit in the morning that is!

Thanks for all the praise for my hardanger doily! Hope to have a progress report up soon on "Silk Threads" as I did get some stitching time in on the airplane and during an afternoon break in the action.

Sounds fun!!! I've never been to Vegas, but my Dad's been there for conventions. I don't gamble, but I'd like to see it, just for the sake of seeing it. ;)

Sounds like you had some fun Von! Welcome home! Are your irises growing for the season yet? Not here - too cold/snowy still.

I agree, it probably would be more fun making paper airplanes with your bills and flying them out the window lol. I'm glad to hear you had an enjoyable time. Look forward to seeing "silk threads." For some reason, I've been have a lot of problems trying to leave comments on your blog lately. Hopefully blogger stops being mean really soon!

What a great photo! I'm glad that you had a fun time. :) My dad was just out there for a hardware convention. He flew home the day we flew out to Utah.

Vegas is fun to visit even if you don't gamble. There is just so much to see. Hubby offers a donation at the door when he enters a casino, not much different from his perspective, although I like the paper airplane idea too.
