IKEA Stuff

IKEA is quite the place, I must say, after spending four hours and quite a chunk of change on food and miscellaneous household goods. Furniture was foremost on my mind. Sadly I didn't see anything that I thought would work well in our basement family room. But you can see that I did find other items that I can use. I'm especially excited about the teapot so I can brew more than one cup at once using my loose tea. Last night I started putting together the little chest of nine drawers that seem to be popular with crafters - can't wait to decorate it!

When we finished shopping, it was rush hour traffic in South Seattle. Not wanting to face the interstate highways in the city, DH and I plotted an alternate route. We don't know the area at all, but decided that almost any other route would be better. So off we went and I don't think a native could have done any better!

Back at home again, the twins had dentist appointments yesterday with zero cavities - I'm so grateful! We will take them back next week to have sealants put on their molars. After that I stopped by my favorite auto body shop to get an estimate to replace the rear bumper of my Expedition. A couple of weeks ago, someone must have backed into or somehow come into contact with the bumper putting a big crack in it. So gotta get that fixed too.

Today I have to go to DH's office to be a background figure in their new television commercial. It's not something I really want to do, but Mystie and the boys will be there and Gary promises to let me stay far away from the camera.

Well I always wanted to meet a movie star and I guess a commercial star is better than nothing! LOL!

Can't wait to see what you do with your 9 drawer chest!

There's an unwritten rule that you can't leave IKEA without buying something ;) Well, we never do, anyway LOL!

Oooh, you're going to be a celebrity! Wahoo!
You spent a whopping 4 hours at IKEA? Wow. That's exhausting! Love the little drawers. I have those too. You're right, they were made in stither's heaven!

Like Karen, I cannot leave IKEA with out at least something from "the marketplace".
Von, I see you're a star. Congratulations - will you be posting the ad?

Oh I am addicted to IKEA! I was there today and picked up a shelf for my DVD collection and other various items. Those drawers are great. I keep my extra floss in them. One for 100 numbers one for 200 numbers one for 300 numbers etc. Works out great!
