Just Barely Awake

I'm holding my own against the virus, but it's going to take a few more naps to overcome it. Thanks for all the "get better soon" wishes everyone!

Look what bloomed in my garden while I've been sleeping! The last time I checked my girls (rose garden), I noticed some new blooms on this clematis. She's climbing right up the arbor and looking very happy. I planted her when I put in my 2006 roses and am so excited to see her doing so well. If she keeps this growth up and the yellow rose on the other side does the same, there could be a gorgeous intermingling of yellow and purple next year!

Playing with color and texture, whether it be floss, ribbons, fabric, or plants, is one of God's wonderful blessings. I could squeal with delight!

Take plenty of rest Von, and get better soon! Love your clematis, it's beautiful! Thank you for the lovely picture :)
And I so, so totally share in the feeling you expressed in your last sentence. :)

You're right, Von, the mingling of these colours would be a delight. I love clematis, even though I'm no gardener. We have one clematis that threatens to die on us every year, but then next summer, it always comes to and gives us some beautiful flowers!

Your clematis is just beautiful. I have to admit I've been driving around Melbourne in the stunning weather as spring has been unfolding, and the beauty of nature has been making me feel great to be alive - it makes the heart sing! :D

I hope you're feeling better Von. The clematis and roses look very pretty combined like they are.

I have a wall of clematis on the back side of our garage. Nearly all purple, of course. I just love them! You'll have to give me a tip on when is the best time to prune them, though, because I haven't pruned mine in years and they need it.

We moved here in March and I spent all spring and summer figuring out what I have in my garden. Turns out we have a lovely pale purple clematis around the front light pole. Yours looks beautiful with the roses!

Very pretty clematis and yes, it will look a beautiful display if it mingles with the yellow rose!! I hope you can shift the tail end of that bug soon and feel great again :-)

Very lovely! Our clematis suprised us with a few late blooms this year - first time it's ever done that.

Continue to rest and take care! :)
