So off to the Pumpkin Patch we went. In addition to the pumpkin fields, they had a corn maze, hay bale maze for the little ones, and a hay bale pyramid, farm animals, plus lots of goodies. The kids played in the maze for awhile, then they and Dad had a great time in the field while I browsed the wide selection of local gourmet food products. I couldn't believe how much the Mercantile and their product line has grown the last few years.
Sunday afternoon I was able to get Kirsten's costume cut out and ready to sew. In the evening I decided to work on the SB ornament piece; there should be just one more evening's work before it's finished. Today is set aside to sew and sew and make Kirsten happy. :)

Good luck with all that sewing! Looks like you all had a wonderful time at the pumpkin patch, though I couldn't help but notice the summery outfits of the kids... No sign of autumn then (besides the pumpkins)?
good luck with the costume for your daughter! maybe it's done by now, today it's halloween.
we don't have the habit of celebration Halloween and to be honest I don't mind. in a few weeks, we're starting the 'sinterklaas'festivities and that's busy enough in itself.

Ah Von, your post reminded me of my trip to the US 10 years ago. I've got a great photo of a produce stand loaded with corn and pumpkins all ready for Halloween decorating. I'm just sad we left the US before the big night and didn't get to experience a real Halloween.
Well, are the pumpkins all carved up and ready to be lit?!
We carved ours up last night...although our pumpkin's face looks like it's saying "Duh?!"...not our best achievement! LOL :D
