Another School Year Begins

Well, one more first day of school has come and gone, making a total of 18 in my homeschooling career so far. I really feel like I'm on the downward slope with only two grades to manage, three kids, but two grades - they should have all been twins, lol!

Of course, the day started in getting Brendan off to high school. He's made the change to public school quite seamlessly. Then Geoff heads out to work, Melanie driving him, then she goes to the court club to work out. Then the youngest three got ready for homeschool p.e. at the court club and off we went at 9 a.m. While they were out learning tennis, I spent 45 minutes on the bike getting my heart rate up. Back home by 10 and everyone to his school desk. Things went pretty well - wish every day was like that!

I am almost finished with Stitch banner, so am holding off taking a progress pic, until it's actually finished. So, I think I'll get off the computer and stitch!

Wow, you sound so incredibly organized! What am I doing wrong?

Seriously, I love that you homeschool your kids. I wanted to do that with mine before I had them and had to start compromising...

Congratulations on your dedication to homeschooling. I'm sure it becomes very trying at times but amazingly worthwhile also.

My son started high school yesterday - he loves it....and whew, what a relief!

Von, you should pat yourself on the back for all the sacrifices you make for the lives of your children. From one mother to another, I know it's not easy, but so worthwhile on those days where everything falls into place!
