Just a Little Spring Cleaning

Today is another beautiful day. The sunshine is inspiring me to clear out my bedroom just a little in preparation for the Great Bedroom Swap where dd Melanie and DH and I will switch bedrooms. As we're redecorating both rooms, DH and I will be utilizing our trailer as sleeping quarters. But we're not there quite yet. We move pretty slow around here, but eventually things get done.
DH has been busy in the garage clearing things out so we can walk around in there again.

Thought I'd share some of my stitching progress. First up is Spot of Summer. I'm still way behind Cathy and Katrina. But seeing Katrina's finished Spot is very encouraging! I might have to put in a little extra time on it this weekend to try to catch up to Cathy.

Jenna and I are stitching VS banners together this month. She is stitching Spring and I'm doing Stitch in all my favorite colors. I've chosen 28 ct Confederate Gray Cashel linen and Splendor silk in a pretty shade of blue. This is going to be so much fun to play with the colors as I go along.

Well, break time is over and I'd better get busy again.

I love your WIPs, Von. The blue on your banner is stunning. Which colour is it?
Will you be able to get some stitching done, what with the spring cleaning and all?

Great start to both projects! I'm putting off doing my spring cleaning until after my kids are done with Spring Break.

Your current projects are looking lovely and springy. :)
Here's hoping you make good progress on preparing for the bedroom swap, with lots of sunshine left to stitch by as well!

Good luck on the bedroom swap - I did a bit of spring cleaning at home today too - hauled a trunkful to the Goodwill. Your 'spot' is looking good!

Aaah, moving and cleaning Von, I know it well!! Our big move today and I am up very early, it has just gone 5.00am to get my last computer bits in as I am not sure how long we will be off line.

Love your DT, and have seen Katrina's too.

Gosh, those SB ornies... I have one or two - even three of them to do and must dig them out now I am not working. I can see some plusses here for me and my stitching come the end of the week.

Hi Von, lol, I also did some "spring" cleaning in our bedroom yesterday, although technically it should have been autumn cleaning :) just sorting thru clothes mostly, getting ready for winter.

Your spot looks lovely too.

Your progress piccies are great ... and the longer you take to stitch, the longer we get to share in your progress :D Good luck with the 'moving'.

I use plastic snap frames as well. Good, aren't they? They're great for counted thread work.=)

Good going on your stitching and spring cleaning. Wanna come to my place and help me???

Must be spring fever with all that housecleaning! Your stitching is lovely and I hope you get more time to do that instead of cleaning. :-)

Von: wonderful WIPs. The spot is coming along nicely. "Stitch" should be so pretty!! Excellent plan.

Have fun with your swap. I have some shelves downstairs calling to me -- There are books and can goods. Trust me, just a mess. I want to get the books sorted & duplicates to the library sale. maybe tomorrow : ) LOL

Great progress on your Stitch banner so far, Von! You'll be past me before I can manage to recover and get stitching again. ;)
